Default Advice on glazing waxing and sealing

Have just ordered the following:

meguiars#7 show car glaze,
Carlack 68 nano systematic care (paintwork cleanser and sealer),
Collonite 476s wax.

The routine i was going to use is as follows:

Wash,
clay,
wash,
paintwork cleanser and sealer,
wax.

From what i understand the wax i got is quite durable, so can i use the glaze as a top up during the time between waxing.

Will be trying the routine out first on the other halfs punto before moving onto the bug. Was very impressed with claying as the bodywork on the punto was orange with black spots all over it and very rough to the touch, it's now orange and glass smooth.

Any help would be appreciated and advice on products aswell.

i dont think the glaze would layer over the wax, well most dont never used those products so not 100%. WHY not just keep adding wax ?

From what i was reading if you use carnauba wax to often it can give of a yellow tint due to the pigment in it, can you glaze under the wax to give it a deeper colour?

your initial routine looks sound, make sure you thouroughly clay the car, but keep the pressure light, otherwise you may mare the paintwork.

You do not need to glaze between waxes, just simply wax again, oncce you have 3 or 4 layers of 476 on, you would not need to wax again for probably 3-4 months dependant on your washing technique. i would only repeat your initial routine probably every 6-9 months, then get 3 to 4 layers of wax on and youll be right again for another few months

You should do the following if you have all the kit for it that is:

Jet wash rinse,
Foam,
Jet wash rinse,
Light foam,
Wash 2bm,
Jet wash rinse,
Dry,
Clay,
Jet wash rinse,
Light foam,
Wash 2bm,
Jet wash rinse,
Rinse with open end of hose,
Dry,
Polish,
Carlack 68 nano systematic care (Paintwork cleanser and sealer),
meguiars#7 show car glaze,
Wax.

The following weekend:

Rinse with open end of hose,
Foam,
Rinse with open end of hose,
Light Foam,
Wash 2bm,
Rinse with open end of hsoe,
Dry,
Apply another layer of wax.

Repeat for 3 weekends and then just give the car a normal foam and wash routine each week / 2 week. After a couple of months (or sooner if the wax starts to fail) apply another layer of wax.

You'll only need to clay, glaze and polish once a year unless you do massive distances each year? It will also depend on your wash & dry routine and where the car is kept?

HTH.

Matt.

Gave the other halfs punto a going over with the following,

Polish,
Paintwork cleanser and sealer,
Glazed.

Will hopefully give it a going over with the wax tomorrow weather permitting, quite pleased with my first real attempt at getting a car properly cleaned.

After claying.

After polishing, sealing and glazing.

With the wax, i take it a small amount will go along way?

Nice work. Yes with the wax apply in thin even layers. Allow to cure and buff off.
