Default cleaning glass (inside)

hi all,

for reasons unknown to me, i'm rubbish at cleaning the glass inside my car...

don't know why but it always leaves smears, normally hidden until the sun hits the screen !!

not sure if i'm using too much cleaner? the local car cleaners seem to get it right every time and they run around the car flat out !!

any ideas would be of great help...

Probably using too much product tbh.....

Try using meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner...applied with a microfibre, and removed with either one or two fresh dry micro's...smearing is normally from not actually drying the surface, and leaving a residue.....probably only 2-3 "squirts" of Megs to clean a windscreen.....

Hate doing the back one myself LOL....also the plusher the microfibre the easier to remove the product....

Very cheap way, wipe the glass with a damp cloth/flannel and then dry with a scrunched up newspaper, costs nothing, leaves no smears.

Have to agree chunk, out of all the chemicals and cloths I have tried in my life, you would be hard pressed to beat a news paper for wiping & drying the glass.

You may find a microfibre with a short weave will have more bite and make it easier to remove the product.

As mentioned before, microfibre cloth and a glass cleaner of your choice. Before I discovered microfibre cloths I thought I had done a great job of cleaning the screen until the early morning sun hit screen, smears everywhere!

I would also recommend that once you have the screen really clean apply a rain repellent to the screen, it makes life easier when it comes to removing those gooey bug splats and don't forget to give your wiper blades a really through clean as well.
