touch up paint
The previous owner to me had touched up a few stone chips on the bonnet with a brush, very small hardly noticeable, however I have polished the car with 203s and they are slightly proud of the panel, is there any solvent that can remove old touchup paint so I can do it properly with my dr colorchip set or is the only way to wet sand them off, as I am reluctant to try this in case I make things worse. any advice appreciated, but if only option is sanding I will probably leave them. Must say though my car had a hazyness to it, not major swirl marks though and 203s by hand has just transformed it, was a lot of hard work though, if I want to get it any better would have to invest in a machine polisher.

Sanding is probably the only solution, given the length of time the paint has been in situ. Might be asking your local bodyshop though, as they may have some suitable thinners that might help?
