Default Snow foam advice

I am thinking of getting a foam lance etc and using something like Meg's Hyper wash with it as I am starting to think that swirl marks are appearing largely due to the wash proceedure. The polised bliss hd foam lance seems to be the one to get?. I am i right in thinking that this will help with reducing damage to paint etc when washing?

Steve.

I use the Heavy duty professional foam lance from ultimate finish
Snow Foam Heavy Duty Professional Foam Lance 1L | Heavy Duty Professional Foam Lance 1L
and there ultimate snow foam.
Ultimate Snow Foam - 5 Litre | Snow Foam 5 Litre.
i use it on the scoob and my van and no swirl marks to be seen makes car washing easy , although i wash it with the sonus wool mitt as well as sponges are main things that causes swirl marks.

Thanks buddy. I use a megs wool mitt and water magnet to dry it, so no sponges or leathers and also use the 2 bucket method, but still the swirls appear, so I think the foam lance is the way forward.

Foam lance + washmits = less swirls

But also try using a squirt of Megs Last Touch when drying and "pat" the car dry as opposed to rubbing with the Water magnet etc

I normally use an Autobrite Foam Lance and Mistral Snow Foam.....Foam and wait, then rinse.....then refoam and wash using mit and 2 bucket method....then spray with Last Touch and pat dry with Sonus drying towel....not foolproof, but DEFINATELY reduces the abuse

I've got the Polish Bliss HD foam lance and Megs hyper wash. Used it a couple of times, needed to make it more concentrated to get more foam. Seemed to work fine though. Haven't used it enough to say whether it makes a huge difference to the ease of washing the car though.

I find Snow Foams really strip down any wax/ sealants already on your paintwork - so only use it if the vehicle is caked in dirt. Otherwise hand wash with a thick pile wash mit. I use a pure wool one; used it on met black and other colours with no swirls. To dry, I use a silicon blade to lightly displace the water then apply a synthetic spray wax like Optimal or more economical Auto Glym Aqua-wax. Apply to wet surface and buff with a plush Poor Boys, or similar micro fibre type cloth. Minimal rubbing, minimal chance of fine swirls - but delivers a smooth, shiney finish which other's have commented on the 'fine beading' effect following rain - so I must be doing something right.

Snow foam will strip if used incorrectly or if you use a TFR. I've used several snowfoams, used the recommended amounts with no stripping of wax. Try half snowfoam half shampoo. Megs hyperwash is great through the lance.

as said above used to the correct dillution an a the corrct product will not strip wax my car gets foamed every time i wash the car an i have seen no major problems with it removing wax

you say the swirls come back???
do you polish them out if so with what?, and what are you using to clesan the car shampoo wise ??

the reason i ask is you may only be hiding the swirls an that could be why they are re appearing and personnaly i hate the megs water magnet an only use mine on wheels now try getting something super soft like an uber drying towel or the dodo sn towel there so much softer

The car is black which doesnt help!. Have also tried meguirs swirl x. Am thinking of changing over to blackfire products through polished bliss - any thoughts?.

Are you applying your polish by hand or rotary?

I'm placing my order when I get home!!!

Can you use the Blackfire shampoo in the lance?
Would the Hyper Wash foam up nicely or would you need to add something to it?
I want to be able to foam the car. Leave for 5mins (enough time for a ciggie) rinse then lightly foam section at a time using two bucket method then spray some Blackfire selant and wipe dry. My current method is of course without the lance and is taking me so long to do I get some water marks.

For some reason Megs products don't work on my car. But Blackfire works a treat. I guess thats my only concern with trying the hyper wash out.

As above hyperwash is ideal through the lance espically with some APC if your looking to strip the wax and start again.

CG Citrus Wash & Gloss is like shaving foam through the lance.
