Default Just ordered G220 from PB......

..... and have been reading some user reviews about them. I did want to go for the Kestrel but its still out of stock with PB so I thought I'd take advantage of the 25% off offer on the G220 kit.

I have read that the G220 likes to break, normally the bearings give up first but some have had problems elsewhere. Am I going to regret buying one? Should I have waited for the Kestrel? Or are they both very similar and I've just stumbled upon a few unlucky customers?

Over 1500 sold in the last 18 months, and a fail rate of less than 2% - in our opinion, bad news makes headlines quickly, but overall the machines are very reliable and Meguiars warranty terms are fantastic. As always, any issues with what you buy from us tell us immediately and we will take care of you properly.

PB, just a quick one, not really impressed with the cut on the menzerna power finish, What would you recommend with a deeper cut?

Hmm, RD3.02 is the next level up in terms of cut, or you could switch to a firmer cutting pad. Just how much correction did you achieve, and how bad are the defects you are trying to correct?

I wanted to completely kill the swirls and scratches.

I think ill give it a few more passes before going for another product as the car does look loads better already. I really could do with a PTG, you havent got one you fancy selling to me have you

Not quick enough mate

Just go for a kestrel kit instead when they become available. I'm glad I got the 25% discount as I've nearly spent a grand with PB now

Yes thats the kiddie, they were still out of stock when I made the decision to go for the G220 but I was initally waiting for these to come back. I bought the G220 as part of the hard paint kit (I have an audi now, no scoob) so I think it represented a good price and meant I had to spend less time working out or asking for good products for my particular car.

Good ole PB again their advice is 2nd to none IMO

Blimey, that's nearly shareholder territory! Thank you, much appreciated.

The Kestrel DAS-6 is an excellent alternative and every bit as good as the G220 in terms of outright performance. You will need the intermediate kit for Scooby paint, and the soft kit for Mitsubishi paint. Neither are in stock right now as we are waiting on a shipment of Lake Country pads, which are due in stock in 7-10 days time. If you need a multi-car kit, buying the intermediate kit plus a bottle of Menzerna Final Polish II makes most sense.

You're very welcome, its the advice and the overall exceptional service that makes me come back. I like the fact that when I've asked specific questions you've given me truthful info and not just tried to sell me something that might work.

As always, a big from me.

Cheers again,
Rob
