Default Metalic black polish

I've got a metalic black Astra which when under lights shows the usual swirls, faint scratches, etc
I've just tried the new Meguiars swirl remover which didn't seem to do much but have seen megs have brought out a Ultimate compound which i might try

I've been using Blackfire gloss enhansing polish followed by Blackfire wet diamond paint protection which is great as its easy to put on/ wipe off and leaves no smears

I'm running out of the protection and was wondering if theres anything better for a met black paint which gives a deep wet look and maybe a polish to get rid of swirls, etc (by hand - no machine)

Thanks

How about some poorboys black hole glaze (plenty of fillers and easy on easy off with both hand and machine polishers) and then topped with something like the collinte range, or the FK1000p or if your budget can stretch to it race glaze 55.

I would suggest that an initial session with Menzerna 203S applied using a Lake Country German CCS Applicator Pad would do wonders to correct a lot of the swirls present (Vauxhall paint varies from soft to intermediate in terms of hardness, so is quite workable when the right products are selected). A bottle of Black Hole is also a good idea for hiding anything left and covering up fresh wash marring on a regular basis (save the cutting back for 1-2 per year sessions). On dark metallics, Blackfire still wins for us out of all of the lines we offer. If you want to add extra glossiness, consider using Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax over the top of the sealant; see here for a few example images showing the level of gloss this produces...

Well just had a go with the Poorboys Blackhole followed by Blackfire Wet Diamond paint protection - not bad for a hand finish
