Help with bringing dirty bugeye to life :)
As above..
I washed the bugeye today (after about a year.....long story) and the front came up ok but the rear end is covered with a brown film of dirt which seems welded to the paint
No amount of sponge / swissol coconut car bath would remove it !
Where do I go from here to remove the dirty brown film??
Swissol cleanser, clay bar, solvent.............
Cheers
Shaun

hello , on very dirty vehicles i normally presoak the lower panels with a citrus degreaser while im setting up my foam lance .
then foam the car wait 5/10 mins then preasure wash off , nearly always does the trick , which leaves minimum dirt on the car to remove in your wash stage , thus not inflicting swirls in the paint .
anyway sorry to waffle , it just looks like a lot of road grime build up , if a degreaser doesnt shift it try the clay , but make sure you use plenty of lube

I'd try neat R222 Total Auto Wash, sprayed on, left for a few minutes and then rinsed before a further mitt wash. If this doesn't shift the grime then I would next use a mild clay bar and lubricant, in case the problem is actually firmly bonded surface fallout. Failing all of this, a polish would be next on my agenda...

I highly recommend this. I had a thick brown layer of greasey crap stuck to the bottom of my rear bumper that wouldn't wash off, but the AG Bug & Tar remover got rid of the lot with a fair amount of elbow grease.
