Polish for a carbon bonnet?
Hi guys,
Just wondering if there is any product I can use to polish out tiny scratch marks and imperfections in my Seibon carbon fibre bonnet?
Any help would be appreciated!

Iirc the Seibon carbon bonnets are lacquered so the answer is any polish. Personally I'd recommend the menzerna polishes or if you don't want to spend that much the Poorboys SSR range or if you want something you can buy in halfrauds then the Auto Glym Super Resin Polish (SRP).

A small bottle of Menzerna 203S and a Lake Country German CCS Light Cut Pad will do the trick nicely, followed by protection of your choice (simply use whatever wax/sealant you have for the painted parts of the car). Details on these links...

Thanks for the advice lads....another quick one however....is it possible to repair chips to the corner of such bonnets? I am pretty devastated that my otherwise lovely carbon is destined to succumb to water damage if this isn't sorted!! Help!

IIRC they can be, how easy i dont know, mine also had a stone chip that i was looking at having repaired, however i managed to sell it to someone who was using on a race car so wasnt interested in a 100% perfect bonnet.

If the chip is small, then touching in a drop of laquer should do the job nicely - the lacquer included in many dealer touch up kits is fine, or else pop along to a motor factors and ask for a small tin. Tell them it's for hand use so they can give you the thickest mix possible - this will make the job easier.
