Can I polish it out?
I had to respray my bonnet scoop as all the lacquer has peeled off.
My paint spraying skills are not exactly great and after applying the clearcoat I'm left with a slight orange peel effect.
Rather than rubbing it down and starting again, I wondered if there was another way of getting the finish better?
Any suggestions?

You can rub the orange peel down flat and then polish back up, depending on what thickness your clearcoat is of course.
Check out detailing world for various articles on wet sanding, looks scary but the results are very good.
