Yea I bought one a couple of weeks ago and i would say that as long as you get decent foam like Bilt Hamber then it gets rid of 95% of the dirt. This is stops you scratching it when you clean it with a wash mit.

Just got one at the weekend - it's awesome. Speeds up wash time & uses a fraction of the shampoo I used to use on the standard Karcher foam attachement I used to use with my the pressure washer

Add to that the foam from the foam lance is stable on the car & will stay on for five minutes or more. Rinsing off with a hose leaves the car clean.

It's a gimmick, it may loosen the dirt/mud/sand etc, but it most definately will not remove road film without being aggitated via a brush, sponge or mitt.

I've had my snow foamer for over a year and I've got 3 different types of foam and it's all a waste of money, there's simply no substitue for a good shampoo, 2 x buckets and a mitt.

Have to disagree on this one - whilst road films are not fully removed using gentle foaming agents like Hyper Wash, all coarse material such as sand/silt is, meaning far less chance of causing damage when mitt washing. So, while foaming is not a foolproof solution, it does aid the wash process, and makes it safer... making it a worthwhile step in my opinion. Also, I blanket the car with fresh foam immediately ahead of the mitt wash - this provides a good degree of extra lubrication, and allows the mitt to slide over the paint even more smoothly than with a good shampoo alone.

No doubt a warm/hot snow foam wash like you guys have would make a big difference.

I foamed my truck last week, I gave it two blasts of Hyper and Chem Guys snow foam and sure enough most of the sand/grit was removed, but once dried it looked as dirty as before.

Sure, it deffo makes things a lot safer, but my black paint still looks awful after 2 years of lazy one bucket and one never washed mitt washing.

Time to break out the PC/Makita.
