Default new paint 86f cool grey

my impreza had a full re-spray a couple of months ago (has been in the garage since)

the body shop used a base colour then lacqure (from what i can remember him saying)

what would be the best VFM things i can use on my car?

something like autoglem SRP may be? i have got the AG ultra deep shine all ready.

and for a waxx.. nates blue, collinite, AG HD wax??

it will all be but on by hand, so somehting that is not to hard.

on my old paint, i use to use the autoglem water blade, but from what i have been reading, these anr not the best for your paint work. i have got a couple of AG synithec chamous. what else would you recomend to use??
(no power points for leaf blowers etc)

any other info would be vv good

thanks
ian

Ian, i have found the Werkstatt kit from Polished Bliss to work very well on the cool grey colour. Its very easy to use and brings out a brilliant shine on the car with little effort:

Werkstat Acrylic Kit - Werkstat Car Care and Detailing Products

Just make sure to clay the car before hand with something like this:

Meguiars Quik Clay Kit - Meguiars Car Care and Detailing Products

Claying will clean the paintwork and remove any contaminents, leaving a glass-like surface to apply your polish and sealant to

I have found Polished Bliss to be very helpful with any queries and very very quick with delivery on all thier products....maybe get in contact with them matey

Waffle weave and a watering can

Seriously. After washing the car and rinsing with hose/pressure washer, a watering can without the sprinkle thingy-ma-bob will help sheet the water off. Then get you waffle weave, fold over a couple times to approx A4 size (works best for me this size), and the dab the car with it. Phenominal piece of kit, no wiping water everywhere and leaves the paint cool afterwards.

I use this method on my 205 as I wanna keep the paintwork best I can on an old grey car.

Also recommend calling Polished bliss. Recently needed som wheel wax sealant after rebfurbing my alloys and needed some decent cutting polish to use by hand. Very helpful and uber quick postage too.

SRP is a filler polish, whereas the Menzerna intensive stuff I bought (after running out of SRP funnily enough), is a permanent scratch remover.

HTH mate

Clay, then polish, the protect... so, Megs Quik Clay, then AG SRP, then AG EGP, then Natty's Blue. Good choice of drying towel, the same as our Luxury Deep Pile Drying Towel from what I am told. The next time you run out of products, I would definetly switch to Werkstat Acrylic, as it will outperform your current line up - see here for some example images on similar mid-tone grey finishes...
