How to remove excess tigerseal from paintwork
Any ideas?

I'd start with a strong tar & glue remover like Autosmart Tardis, as this cuts most sealant-based products with ease.

I'm not sure; some sealants claim to be overpaintable, but my opinion is that paint should always be bare when being repainted; how else can you ensure proper long term bonding is the question in my mind.
