Thank you
Also just noticed that there is another product on the market which is cheaper than the G220 and seems to be pretty much identical - hmmmm which one to go for.

Earlier G220 machines had some reliability issue's, latest machines are said to be rectified. I'm sure the guys at Polished Bliss will have the New stock by now as the issue's with earlier machines were some time ago.

Aye, first batches had a failure rate of ~4% (out of over 500+ sold), while more recent batches have remained below 2% (out of another 300+ sold), so definitely improved! Meguiars have been superb at honouring their warranty, and drop off new units whilst collecting broken units, so no hassle at all to the customer. Happy to be representing them and selling these machines!

Kestrel
Taken the plunge and gone for the Kestrel with a Sonus polish and pad kit - as it is more cost effective than the megs kit.
Looking forward to giving this a go on the wife's car which is badly swirled.

Looked at the Kestrel now too, and it appears to be a very good piece of kit for the money. We'll have them in stock as a budget option in about 14 days time - the manufacturer is offering a full year's warranty on them too, along with spare carbon brushes.

Will hopefully be giving the Kestrel a workout this weekend.
Just to add that not only does it come with 12 months warranty but the service centre is UK based should anything untoward occur!!
I'm also told that it is made alongside the G220 in the same factory in China....

Only downside is that if it does go wrong, Kestrel don't cover courier charges associated with uplift for repair and susequent redelivery, unlike Meguiars... but the price difference reflects this.

Kestrel
Managed to get to use the Kestrel just the once so far because of the rubbish weather but first impression as follows:
Easy to use, with little vibration and no tingling in the hands afterwards. Quite quiet so it should not annoy neighbours.
Power lead is too short and needs at least another metre added to it.
Still practising with it so no pics of any proper corrective action on paintwork just yet.
