however it has a paint problem it looks like baked on tree sap that has then been polished to death and looks like this (taken with a macro lens)

My question is how do i remove the offending sap i have tried clay bar a meguirs blue one purchased from Polished Bliss with little success i also purchased some Autosmart Tardis but i dare not use it yet, Will tardis remove the tree sap? Or is there something else that is not as harsh?

Tardis isn't really that harsh; it's safe for all exterior surfaces so long as the instructions are followed, and it is ideal for removing organic contaminants in a safe and effective manner. If this sap has been in place a while it may prove very difficult to remove. I would soak it in Tardis, leave it a minute, then rinse off. Then soak it again, leave it a minute, then gently wipe the affected panels down with a soft plush towel, and finally rinse again. Repeat the second step until the sap is fully gone, and avoid the temptation to scrub the paint or switch to polishing it. This type of problem needs to be removed by chemical means if further damage is to be avoided.

Thanks for your prompt response I'll give the tardis a go then, I'm pretty sure that it is tree sap and not paint over spray as it's all over the car and it does lift off with a finger nail, I'll let you know how I get on.
