something quick and effective for limos
hi i work for a a busy funeral company and we have 2005 model xj jag limos in solid black , i want a polish hat is quick to use but doesnt leave swirls and wanna know the best cutting compound at the moment im using frecla, ive tried the meguires but not that impressed with it as find nielson polish to give it a bit better shine, i use to do panel beating and spraying and valeting was 1 part of our course so quite often have to try and flat and polish scratches out so realy just want to know the best compound and polishes and finishing polishes and mop heads that are quick and effective as dont get that long to do the cars, thanks

Challenging, but this is what we would do, and compared to Farecla, it will take the results to the next level...
To correct swirls and other moderate defects (fine scratches and etching included), you will need to start out with 3M Extra Fine Compound using a yellow 3M Perfect-it III Polishing Pad (ideally on a 3M 125mm flexible backing plate for maximum feel and safe transitioning over swage lines and awkward curves). We usually put 2-3 five pence sized blobs around the centre of the pad and then spread at 900rpm. Working at 1800rpm using moderate pressure should see you able to correct ~95% of the defects with a single attempt per panel; it is worth finishing down with a few slower passes at 900rpm in order to ensure a hologram free finish. With the bulk of the correction done, you would be wise to switch to Menzerna 85RD using a 3M Ultrafina SE Finishing Pad (applied and spread in the same way). Working at 1200-1500rpm with light pressure should see you produce the maximum possible gloss and clarity, which you will then want to seal in using either a wax or a sealant. On solid black, and if you are pushed for time, Blackfire Wet Diamond is an awesome sealant that looks stunning, and is a doddle to put on and take off.
