Has anyone ever tried these cheap waffle weave towels ?

They look spot on also he does a 5 pack for less then £15

got to be worth a go for the price

ive already got 2 PB ones

 

Poor boys is quality though isn't it. but is it work the extra 8 quid per towel?

dont get me wrong there good but they have there moments where you wash them as normal then they decide to not work and soak up nothing the next time you use them meaning you have to wash them again to get them to work

the ebay ones are shown up close and they look exact how there weaved

I would give them ago worst case is you could use them for engine bay/inside door sills etc but TBH they will be fine but get the 5 pack IMO

to be honest, making any kind of towel is hardly rocket science, and what you will find is cheaper alternatives will start cropping up into the scene.

it just takes the cloth makers a while to cotton ( ) onto what ever variant the people want, from the various types they can already make, and the the market starts to get saturated.

the last lot of standard microfibre cloths i bought, i paid about 20p each for them in bulk, when the whole microfibre thing kicked off, they were selling for £3/4 each

i was personally undercutting everybody at the time and knocking them out on ebay for around £2, sold loads, then people worked out where to get them from so the market got saturated

 

i've never been that impressed with waffle weave towels, just seems to move the water around rather than soaking it up. i understand the logic with using them to protect your paintwork but i've never found them as good as an old school leather.

doesn't make too much difference on my colour but i'd be pulling my hair out if i had a dark colour!

so yeah, give them a go as i doubt they're any different to the dearer brands

 

If you get them to wash right they will soak up right and not spread water around like you say - I find 70 degree wash works 99% everytime also never wash them with microfibers that youve used to buff your wax off with as that seems to knacker them up too.

I know what you mean sticky I got a mega pack of them from costco for peanuts and there spot on

 

ah, always washed it at a lower temperature. will give the higher temp a go, worst case and it ruins it i won't lose any sleep

 

Remember liquid washing stuff only dont use powder or conditioner
