Default Which Foam Lance for my Karcher?

I have a Karcher K3.91 seen here: ------ Welcome to Kärcher UK ------

I did have a Foam Lance, this one infact: Elite Car Care - Elite Foam Lance - 3 types of fitment & Free 1lt Snow Foam but I had an argument with it and it lost. It is stuck in the end of my Karcher gun because the brass connector (for a Karcher PW) is fouling the spring or rod in the gun and each month I was using it, it was getting increasingly more difficult top take the FL off and use the supplied Karcher lance.

SO, what FL would you recommend as there is now more than one type available now.

This kinda follows on from my thread about getting the gilmour, but was persuaded to keep the FL because of the foaming it would do. So I did.

This one
E-Commerce

This one, which is £2 more
E-Commerce

or???

Thanks Darren

Sorry mate, givin you a bum steer. Go for the non HD one.
Thats if you don't have an HD series Karcher.
Bought myself one mate, cracking piece of kit.
For what it's worth I have the karcher 3.99

Here you are buddy; to save any confusion - went
with PB's recommendation on the lance :

https://www.scoobynet.com/car-care-3...oam-lance.html

Just have a read through, hope this helps you out.

Looks like the one mate. It's just that the pic shows
the lance with the 500ml bottle instead of the 1L.
You can always email autobrite with a link to this lance
stating which pressure washer you have and ask if
it is def the correct one for you PW ??
No wanting to buy the thing on my recommendation
and it doesn't fit eh, looks like the one I bought though

I got a reply from Autobrite

"This one is fine mate..If you do experience some stiffness in the brass connector apply some oil and work the connection,of a new karcher gun will be fine.."

E-Commerce

So I will be ordering this now

Tbh yours doesn't look like an HD series so the same one
as above would prob be fine. But again I would send a link
for both your pw and their foam lance (the one above) and ask
if they're compatible.

Sorry, late reply to this, although my help was kind of included! Just as an addition, remember that drilling out the hole in the brass connector by another mm or so will help if you find the connection stiff. I had to do this on one of my two lances (the other has always been fine). Worth persisting as they do give thicker, clingier foam than the Gilmour.

The only advice I'd give is don't ponse about with the
lance adjuster just twist it to the max (think that's the minus direction).
Max foam all the way my friend In terms of quantity, if it's super
snow foam then I think the free sample that you prob received
is fairly diluted anyway. As a gauge I used inbetween 1/3 & 1/2 of
the sample on my first go. If you want some advice get yourself some
Meguairs Hyper wash; this stuff is incredible the dilution rate is something
like 400:1. Basically just cover the bottom of your 1L lance bottle and fill the rest with warm water - hey presto. I have heard of some people putting in
a little Poorboy's Super Slick and Suds or similar to increase the foam but I've never needed to.

Cheers.
So the sample bottle is already diluted? It gives quite a high ratio on the label.
Where is the best place for Megs hyper? Unless Polished Bliss will get some stock back?

Thanks for the dilution ratio as I kinda forgotten them

I think Doc, you can get Megs Hyper wash from elitecarcare.co.uk and Autobrite. I use this stuff and its brilliant. The SSF that came with my first FL I did find that is took a layer of wax off like what was mentioned in this very forum some time ago, so on that bomb shell I decided to get the Megs Hyper wash and I have not looked back. Brillinat stuff and wax friendly.

Weather permitting, I shall be using my new FL tomorrow. If I feel in the mood I might take some pictures of before/during and after as I know you all like seeing my shiny Sport

Happy foaming

I'm going to have to look at what model my PW is . Its a Karcher but pretty old model.
Next step is to buy a Foam Lance everyone keeps raving about. Wheres the cheapest place to buy a FL?

Yer its super snow foam.
The bottle says This concentrate will dilute up to 50/100-1.
It also says it doesn't strip wax.

In relation to Hyper Wash the ssf is very watery, it certainly
still produces foam but is no where close to HW in terms of ratio's
I bought my HW from Polished Bliss, if they are out of stock
get onto detailing world there's bound to be someone on there
that knows somewhere else to go.

Just out of interest are you foaming every wash? I would normally wash the car every 2 weeks so would you foam that often?
