Question Pressure Wash Pre Treatment

Hi folks,
I recently went to one of those places that cleans your car for you, and their process was as follows:

Spray detergent (?) using (what looked like) pressurised weed sprayer.
Leave a minute or two.
Pressure wash.
Blow air dry.

Here's the question - does anyone know what solution they're likely to have used in the 'pre treatment' spray???

The car came up pretty good in only a very short time, so I was wondering whether it'd be possible to replicate this at home

TIA

hi mate, the solutions these places use are very strong chemical mix which strips protection ie wax and sealants, you can use foaming agent's like super snow foam or megs hyper wash in a attachment on a your pressure washer. have a look on PB website or cleanyourcar website. if it helps read back a few months in this section this question been asked before.

Agreed, bound to be a Traffic Film Remover (TFR), as these are designed to remove grime in a touchless fashion. However, to do this many rely on sheer chemical strength, so will strip everything off the paint, including protective coatings as well as muck and grime. You can replicate the process at home without stripping your wax/sealant if you invest in a hot water pressure washer with dedicated foam lance and use a gentle foam like Hyper Wash. Hot water pressure washers don't come cheap though...
