Default What bits to get next...

Hi all...

I have been asked what I want for Xmas, and as my folks said they can't extend to a PPG box, and as I'm getting into the buftyness, I thought I ask for some car cleaning stuff for my type R.

I currently hose down, then use two bucket method with Poorboys Super Slick & Suds (using lamwool mit and microfibre mitt for wheels and arches). Rinse off and dry with waffle weave towell.

Then I use Blackfire Wet Diamond Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax, applying with applicator pad and buff off with appropriate cloth.

What products should I ask for to take it to next level?

I was thinking of the Poorboy's wheel sealant and Blackfire tyre gel. Also a metal polish for the fmic and exhaust.. any suggestions? Always used Autosolve metal polish before...

Thanks v much!

If you've not clayed or polished before, adding these steps in to you major cleans every 6 months or so will make a big difference to the finish. Meguiars Quik Clay is ideal for novices and will ensure all boned contaminants are fully removed, and Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish will further cleanse the paint and add a lot more glossiness prior to the protective wax coating. Adding in the wheel sealant and tyre gel makes a lot of sense, as the wheels will look a lot better and bet better protected - well dressed tyres always set a decent finish off nicely. Finally, for the metal polish, for regular use I like Meguiars NXT All Metal Polysh, as it works well but isn't overly aggressive.

Think I used to use Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish, followed by some sealer...
BF Tire gel worked a treat... best stuff I've used...
Wheels used to just get polished with the same stuff the car did lol...

Cheers chaps,

I already have the BF polish.. just not got round to using that yet and really happy with the way the wax brings it out. I'm a little apprehensive of claying so may get a a pro to do that for me, Matt from the ESC will be that chap!

So wheel sealant, tyre gloss and metal polish it is.... cheers guys!
