Hi there,

Well I'm absoutely knackered! Been cleaning the car all day! Perfect weather for it, lots of cloud cover, however that has made the pictures somewhat boring as my silver just looks grey and dull.

Started by washing with Megs gold class and wash mitt, dried, then clayed with the megs quick clay set. First time I've ever used clay before and I found it very easy. It took loads of stuff off and the paint felt so nice afterwards. Also due to the colour of my car I could really see the stuff coming off.
Then I applied menzerna intensive polish with the german applicator. Didn't do a very good job probably but tried my best. Buffed off with a microfibre towel.
Then I applied the Jeffs prime acrylic, and buffed off using a little acrylic gloss. Then used the acrylic jet and wiped over with a microfibre towel.
Its taken me hours and is definitely the most work I've ever done cleaning my car but i'm pretty happy with the results. The paint feels so smooth and hopefully should be a lot easier to wash from now on.

Aye, all by hand, nice one, I know how tiring that routine is by hand. All I would say now is try to get a few more coats of Trigger on over the next month or so, and that's you set for winter. Great stuff!

very nice work mate, i use to own a silver car and the best wax i found on a budget was 'Chips away Trade wax' i cannot recommend this enough

Yep, planning to do this. Is it worth going over it again with the prime as well?
What do I use the acrylic gloss for? Just to help buffing off the prime?

I use a few squirts of the gloss when drying the car after a regular wash, as well as for buffing off prime (and buffing off the jet trigger too!)

No! Only use the prime as a basecoat 1-2 times a year after claying, as otherwise it will strip back any coats of protection already on the car. Instead, just apply Trigger on a regular basis. As for the Glos, Bradders summed it up perfectly above, so I'll add no more.
