newly refurbed alloys, how long should i leave until i put on a sealer?
getting my wheels back on friday and was planning to put them on after slapping on some poorboys alloy sealer. thing is i've read with fresh panel paint it's best to leave it alone for a couple of weeks to fully go off, is this the same with alloys? (assume the paint on wheels is the same as on cars??)
don't want to **** them up before i've even had a chance to kerb them

Depends if they have been baked or not; if fully cured by oven baking then it's fine to protect them straight away, but if they haven't been cured then the standard advice is to leave the paint for between 30-60 days to degass and fully cure before sealing it. However, given its your wheels, and what a pain in the bum brake dust is, I would personally protect them from the off. Check with the refurbishers about the curing issue first, then decide from there.

cheers for the reply mate, seem to remember the wheels are baked and yes, like you say, in my opinion the sealer would be better on from the start
was planning to do inside and out before they went on, but they're on now and i can't be arsed to take them off again! but cheers again for the advice
