Default 06 black STi

I have a black metallic 06 Sti, which has swirl marks. I've been looking at all sorts of products inclding clay bars etc. Any one got any idea's as to which way I should go. I want a wetglossy look to the car. Is meguirs any good?

Also the car has gaurd x protection on the paint. Does this affect the way it should be polished?

it won't really effect it as none of these so called 6 year protection products last that long. to get rid of the swirls you should ideally get it machine polished. however if you want to have a go yourself, get hold of menzerna intensive polish and a german aplicator pad or 2 from polished bliss. to follow that up you could go for menzerna final finish polish and then i'd recommend the blackfire wet diamond finish. if you're feeling flush follow it up with the ivory carnuba paste wax.

have a look at my black mica scooby detail in this section for the results of machine polishing with the menzerna polishes and then the blackfire wet diamond finish.
