Mine is similar to the 'before' pics. Not quite as bad. It polishes up and looks good briefly but goes back to how it was after a few weeks.
Think I need to invest in some better 'product'.

alex - get the car properly machine polished. it's worth the cost. then maintain it with a good last step / stage product. something like the jeffs werkstatt acrylic kit from polished bliss if you want durability or a good carnuba wax, i like zymol products but if you don't want to spend that much the jeffs werkstatt carnuba kit is great. the 2 will give you different finishes. the acrylic is a harder tighter look to the paint, the carnuba is wetter. use both to get both qualities.
