Question BLUE STI

What would be the best polish / wax for a blue sti?
Wanting a good shine.

I have auto glym Bodywork shampoo, Super resin polish, extra gloss protection.

I also have Maguiar’s gold class shampoo & conditioner, step 2 deep crystal polish, step 3 deep crystal carnauba wax

I was very impressed with the shine I got from the Blackfire Sealant on my old WR Blue Sti. Rich did my car last year using the PC to correct most of the fine swirl marks, and just last month I stripped off all the old sealant etc using Menzerna Intensive Polish by hand (took a few hours, and probably quite similar to the crystal polish you have), followed by the Wet Diamond paint protection.

Rasher, Very nice

would I be better going over the car with a mild claybar then giving it a wash, crystal polish then a going over with the carnauba wax. Is there anything ells I can put over the wax or should that be the last coat I put on?

If you have swirl marks or other defects you wish to remove, then you will firstly need to use a decent abrasive polish to remove them. On Subaru paint, Menzerna Intensive Polish works brilliantly when applied using the white side of a Germam Pad. For boosting gloss and adding protection, two choices spring to mind for WR Blue. The first is the Blackfire system for a really wet, glossy look like this...

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
Ultimate German Applicator Pad
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel

then

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
Ultimate German Applicator Pad
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel

...or the Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic system for a more reflective, shiny look with more flake pop when the sun is out, like this...

JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Kit

If you fancy popping out to see us for some one to one advice then give me a bell, we're only 20 mins out of Aberdeen.

Yummy, as you say, if you can stretch to the higher end Zymol waxes, then the results are in my opinion, well worth it.
