hello my car goes for respray next week an i i need some help on what i should clean with afterwards sponges,shampoo etc as want to keep in a1 condition an also what polish to use i new to polishin so need bit of advice,as halfords got 3 for 2 on thought now could be good time to get.

if the car has had a full spray then i dont think you will need polish for around a year if you get the above and clean the car in a carefull way, i have had my car just over a year and its about time for its 1st polish.

if ypu want to keep your paint looking good go for any of these they will benefit you much more than any polish would do on new paint

i would go for the blackfire range out of them but it will depend on your car....works great on WR Blue

 

you shouldn't do anything with the paint for at least a month afterwards other than wash gently. It will need some form of protection once it has hardened sufficently.

Also be very careful with bird sh*t as it's even more damaging on fresh paint!

 

Depends on whether they (the bodyshop) fully bake and cure the paint or not - if so, you can polish and protect it straight away, but as you rightly say, if it comes back not fully cured then it should be left for 4-6 weeks to fully cure on it's own. The main problem is using silicone-based products, as they fill the paint pores and prevent the outgassing process which helps to cure the paint.
