Default Porter Cable 7424 better than dewalt

I currently have a dewalt 443 RO which was hard work but gave good results, is the Porter Cable 7424 a worth while upgrade, or is it not much better ?

Hard to say, never used a Dewalt unit. Chances are the Dewalt has a shorter throw than the PC, meaning it probably does more work; thus, you might find it is more effective than the PC, but slightly more risky to use due to greater friction and heat.
