how to do it, what to use and how much £
hi all, i have a my99 sti in cool grey, the paint work is good, but has seen better days.
i normally use
turtle wax wash
meguiars tech wax.
i have used the clay bar in the past.
is there cleaner wax paste any good?
it would be very good if i could have a step by step guide on what to use with the the prices of each product as well.
so i can buy it all at once, knowing that i have everything that i need.
I am after something that is going to get rid of the swirl marks in the paint and give my car that new look again, am not to worried about how hard it is to put on take off, just after a very good result.
thanks Ian

This is what I would use if I were to detail your car by hand...
Wash
Poorboy's Slick n Suds Shampoo
Meguiars Lambswool Mitt (for bodywork)
Meguiars Microfibre Mitt (for wheels/arches)
Poorboy's Waffle Weave Towel
Clay
Meguiars Quik Clay
Polish
Menzerna Intensive Polish, applied using German Pads
Jeffs Werkstatt Prime, again applied using German Pads
Super Thick n Plush Towels to buff off above residues
Protect
Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger
Deluxe Mega Towels to apply and buff the above
I'd also do a lot more, in terms of wheel protection, tyre dressing and trim dressing, and if you want ideas for these products just shout. The above list comes to around £110 delivered, allowing two of each towel. If you don't need the wash kit deduct ~£37 from the total.
