Engine degreaser, paintbrush, rinsed off with hose and used trim polish to finish off

Halfords 'Gunk'.
Or get a local carwash to steam clean it for you (about £10).

bonnet gas struts
great detailing, i notice you have gas struts on the bonnet did you fit them yourself or were they already on the car?? i'd like to fit some myself.

In the firs picture the strut brace is so dirty you can't even see it.
