Products needed to polish mica green
Hey all
Got a PC a while back and think i'll use it soon
My paint is in quite a poor state so looking for some good products to bring it back to a decent state.
Was going to use my autoglym products, starting with paint renovator then a poilsh then sealant, but think i'd be better off getting some decent stuff?
I've noticed Menzerna Intensive Polish is one product to get but should i start with this or something a little more abbrasive?
As i say there are quite a few scratches on the paint work so i'm also considering getting the 4" spot pad also to concentrate on some of these, providing they don't come out first time. SO what would be a good product to use for that technique also?
Looking forward to getting some good advice

Intensive Polish is great by both 6.5" and 4" pads, but if the scratches are deep then get some PowerGloss too, but only use it with the 4" pads (it dries too quickly on bigger pads). Also, if the swirling is bad, you might want to go over the car first with IP and yellow cutting pads, then IP via orange pads before going into a finishing polish and then finally the last step product.

So i'll use IP with the yellow pad followed buy IP using the orange. Any bad scratches using Power Gloss on a 4" orange?
But which finishing polish would you recommend considering my colour and finally any recommendations for the last step?

I did a really, really bad Mice Green Sport just before I went on hols, and I hit that with IP via yellow pads (PG on some areas with orange spot pads too), then FPII via green finishing pads (no need for IP via orange), then Menzerna FMJ to seal and protect. Came out a treat - I'll post the pictures when I get chance. I'd go for either FMJ or Blackfire Wet Diamond - the former gives a very shiny, highly reflective look, while the latter gives a richer, wetter look with similarly good reflections. If you want to go mad you could always use Blackfire's Gloss Enhancing Polish too between the FPII and the last step - this just makes the finish look dripping wet when topped with Wet Diamond.

How do you go about polishing the hard to reach places like the front bumper? Say whilst doing the IP with the yellow PC pad, would you use IP with a applicator pad by hand or ....?

SRC Compound should shift everything... I got some pretty bad scratches out of Jool's bonnet with it no problem (see PB vs Elise No.2 thread) - be prepared for a little hazing though, although this comes out easily with the finishing polish.
