Default Transformer for Porter Cable

Just bought a Porter Cable but Screwfix seems to have stopped selling the 240 to 110v transformers.Only the double socket ones are available. Are the transformers available on ebay with the American plug any good and what wattage would I need. The Porter Cables motor is 3.7amps.

Thanks

An alternative to the screwfix transformer is listed here..

They also sell the extention leads and the 110v plug for the pc.

KVA is just a measurement of power 3.3kva equals 2.6 kw. It stands for Kilo-Volt Amperes if you are interested.

This will be more than enough, I have just ordered a Porta Cable of e-bay and the transformer off the company shown in this thread. Good luck with the polishing

You will have to get a 110 volt kettle to make your brew in. Only snag is Porter cable might slow down slightly when the kettle is boiling. Just noticed you say a few hundred cups so maybe a Berkop boiler will be better
