Preston Flag Market - Demo Results
As part of the national fund raising events being held in memory of the rally driver Richard Burns the LADS club chose to raise money for a Lancashire based cancer charity - Macmillan Nurses.
We are holding raffles etc but the main event was a gathering of 50+ Subaru's in Preston City centre this weekend gone.
One of the demonstrations on the day was detailing products.
Tim from a company called clean your car (www.cleanyourcar.co.uk) had offered to "do" a car for free - so guess who's got done
Anyway throughout the day Tim beavered away, not even stopping for lunch, with me hanging around just getting in the way !
The last hour or so was a little frantic as we wanted to show the finished car so I rolled a sleeve up and started to follow Tim around buffing whatever panel he had just finished.
Once the paintwork was finished we set to work stripping off the masking tape and attacking the black bits with trim & wheel restorer.
Job Done with 20 mins to spare !
The one thing I didn't do was a before shot, but as the car's owner I know the difference - and its F***ing amazing !
The fine swirls have gone, several areas that had bad "grit on sponge" scratches are now back to pristine condition and the paint gleams.
I can't stop looking at it - its that good.
I'd just like to Thank Tim for all his efforts, even though he isn't a Pro buffer he has a wealth of knowledge, and is patient to a fault - especially when being asked if he could do the next car for the 30th time.
Anyway - the results speak for themselves and hopefully Tim will add his version later
