Cool Clean and Shiny 'detailed my ride'

This weekend I took my car to John at Clean and Shiny (www.cleanandshiny.co.uk) as I was going away and its been needing some serious TLC

In fairness, John only wanted the car to try some products out on it because I have been harrasing him about what would be best for my WR Blue UK300 which has been cleaned by myself mostly wrongly (according to the experts on www.detailingworld.co.uk) over the years albeit with fairly good results...

John played with some products over the weekend along with some other people on various cars and he also tried some stuff on my car

When I gave it to him on Friday it was a bit dirty!

I collected the car this evening and much to my suprise and complete amazement it was in perfect just 'detailed' condition. I didnt expect it fully detailed, I was gobsmacked. The wheels too had been completely cleaned on the inside including all of the wheel arches, something I had never even entertained before. Something which is part of the service when it comes to clean and shiny, because he left no stone un-turned. It is amazing to see the difference between work by a valeter and work by someone who 'details'. Not a spec of polish anywhere on the car, which I personally could never have the time to do and would consider madness but not for this outfit. Amazing is all I can say. He then took the time to explain to me the process he goes through and the products he chose for my car. All of which you would'nt flinch at purchasing if you like to keep your car tidy. His product knowledge amazes me, and it helps that he too is a petrol head because his enthusiasm shows in the quality of his final product

Not only that, I cleaned the engine bay the other day and thought I did a good job. He sorted this out for me too, and it looks like it just rolled out of the factory! He used the following:-

1z Perls Wash
Meguiars Wheel Brightner
Meguiars All purpose cleaner on the Arches
Poorboys SSR 2
Meguiars #21 Sealant
Nattys Blue Paste Wax
Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba
Poorboys Bold n Bright Tyre Dressing
Meguiars #38 on Trim

He also tried Zymol HD Cleanse and Zymol Vintage on a couple of panels. This was an experiment to see if he or I could tell the difference, in my opinion you cant..!

Zymol Vintage is £1600 for 6 ounces!!!

(thank god he didnt charge me for the amount he used. I could of had the car resprayed! lol)

Here are the results

It did not look as good as this when I bought the car years ago and has not looked anywhere near as good since. People have tried including some well respected detailers to remove scratches and blemishes to no avail. The car has never seen a bodyshop either so its in original state so to speak.

All I can say is thank you to clean and shiny. You have restored the faith in my car! One of a few companies I have dealt with where I have walked away in complete amazement at the level of customer service and care for your pride and joy

Eric

Usually £150 - £200, maybe more down south.
