Anyone ever sprayed a car?

I want to paint my "race support" caravan WRC blue but need to price up my options. Its only a small tourer, about the same size as a car but obviously more surface area.

1 litre of base coat is £35 but how much will I need. Will it need thinning out and by how much? How much lacuer would I need? How many coats and how long do I wait between coats?

Help... gotta get it done this week.
