Default Sand Blasting my Hawkeye.

Hi all

I'm new to scooby ownership! I've been reading around the forums and the first thing I want to do is tackle rust underneath my 05 JDM Hawkeye.

Ideally, I would like someone to sandblast everything underneath back to metal and put on rust proof coatings, but a lot of body restoration places I'm speaking to want the entire car stripped down to a bare shell for this to happen. The cars body panels and paint are in great condition, so this seems unnecessary. I literally just want the underneath doing.

Does anyone know of any companies in the Sussex area that would do this sort of work, or should I just go ahead and replace parts where possible, and wire brush the rest off? There's quite a lot to do so the sandblast option sounded easier to me, and I don't mind paying someone to do it.

I can post up photos if needed.

Cheers for any advice.

1st of bud probably not wise to sand blast it as it tends to damage the metal depends who is doing it tho I would recommend soda blasting instead check out my build thread you'll see I hades mine done
