As the title says. It looks to me the general user that all the upgrades have affected is the amount of advertising...........
Though I am happy see that the search function is working again for mere mortals.........

Well I was going to pay up to be a member when I had a minute to do it, glad I waited till these changes.
Those adverts are horrendous and no chance I will be wasting my membership fee

If I may be so bold. To those saying there are more adverts, could you possibly take a screen shot of a page (maybe a few shots will be needed) to show the advert placement so we can see what is being talked about. I'll start the ball rolling.

I'm just an Orange Club member, and from the look of your profile you are a Blue Club member.
I've also logged in with another account, which is a normal user, and compared this against being logged out completely and being logged in with my regular account and I don't see any difference in the number of adverts displayed, so there isn't a change there. As I'm not a full Plus member I cannot say if the options that you can configure to hide certain ads are working or not. Perhaps a Plus member could check their options and see if there are any differences.
I'm going to also change my comment in regards to the number of adverts I'm seeing, as I'm an idiot and don't think I included the ones in the banner picture! Doh!
So, for me, if I include the ScoobySprint banner as an advert, and there isn't a forum sponsor, I'm seeing six adverts, which breaks down to: One in the main banner picture, the ScoobySprint Banner, One below the Forum Notice but above the forum listing. Two on the right hand side of the page, and one at the bottom of the page.
If there is a forum sponsor then there are seven adverts, again including ScoobySprint. The positioning is the same as above, with the exception of the forum sponsor advert being below the forum notice advert.
Now the real question would be, is this actually more ads than we had at this time yesterday, and the truth is, I'm not sure, but I don't think it is. I think what could be causing us to "see" more ads is the new layout. It's not true full width, and thus the two right hand side adverts are more visible, as they are "pushed in" so that things align under the new banner (rather nice by the way).
