Sorry if this has been done before, but my s/n experience seems a little slow at the moment, and I seem to spend an awful lot of time with a blank screen, other than the headers, and the above message along the toolbar.

Can anyone explain what's going on, and what, if anything, I can do about it?

Been like this for a couple of weeks now.

Do no mods/admin get in here then? I'd have thought THIS would be a favoured haunt?

 

iF it's just ad.doubleclick.net that is causing the issue try this: Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File You could end up with bits of "page cannot be displayed" in some frames but it doesn't half speed up page loads for many sites.

 

I get this all the time on SN

Always get the ad's and header and then it takes ages for the threads and content to appear (all the dynamic stuff)

 

Now THAT'S odd: I once said this to the previous webmaster, but got told off, told it was impossible and that I was paranoid...........
