Default Problem with search?

Plugging in the search term "insurance" for all open forums shows only two threads since 17/10/7.
Yet on the first page of the insurance forum, I can see 9 threads with "insurance" in the title.
Not picking up all relevant threads seems to be happening to all SN searches I do.
The Google search seems to pick them up OK though?

hmm insteresting.

I know that there are some parts of the algorithm that blocks very common words in some circumstances, so there is a chance it could be to do with that?

Plugging in "problem" or "search" doesn't even show this thread? Very odd.

Ah OK, some forums are not listed in the search engine.

I *think* this is one of them.

The search system has taken a good pounding over the last year or so as we've modified it to try to make it more efficient, so there's always a chance we've broken something in the process.

We'll get on to this asap.

Cheers

Simon
