Looging out, logging in bug...you are going to love this one
Ok, guys just found this one out tonight by chance.
We have this funny log out error already (as covered in the bugs section), whereby you log out, but then have to click on the home button to properly log out etc etc. Ok, now that is one issue, but this one is new.
I log out as swisstony and then get presented with the blank username and password field. All good so far. Type in my other account (for this experiment I used my Scoobynetfaq account ) All is fine, I get the page refreshed and it has all the correct profile details bar one.
1.The date I last posted is wrong...
But this is the main bug. I now go to the forums, post a reply or start a thread and suddenly I am posting as SwissTony, even though I am logged in as someone else
Also in doing this my status as a Scooby regular gets changed to a Scooby Newbie , even though my post count remains the same.
Then the only way to get my regular status back is to log back in as me and post again.
Have fun with this one

We never got an answer to this one. I know you are busy Webby, but I can't change my name. No matter what I do, it still posts as 84of300 even tho' my log in says something else. I emptied all my cookies etc, but no joy. Still posts as 84 but as a newbie
Any ideas

Ok, so that seemed to work. This was using a previously registered account and not a new one, so perhaps the issue is only with new accounts?
A question to those with this issue. Have you tried clearing all cookies relating to any scoobynet domain be it .co.uk or .com? If not then give that a shot, then logout, then clear cookies again, just in case they have come back, and then try logging in as the new account and posting, then logging out and logging back in as your regular account.

So, I am not seeing this issue. I did have a problem when the new layout was used with regards to not being able to logout, which was attributed to a problem with cookies, hence why I mentioned clearing cookies in a prior post.
What browsers and Operating Systems are people using? I've only tried this on Mac OS X 10.4.8 using Safari, so that might have some bearing on the problem, then again, maybe not.

Markus, I've tried all of the cookies clearing thing. It must be me because I can't get it to work. Even switching off and on again, na na oh and the new user name I registered before Christmas. Got me stumped

Anyone who is having this problem...
Please do exactly this.
1) Close ALL internet browsers, and anything which has an internet browser.
2) Open one single internet browser.
3) Clear your cookies (or if you are sure you know where to find them all, delete any cookies relating to scoobynet (there will be many different types, www, bbs, .co,uk, .com, etc, etc, etc.)
4) Close that single internet browser.
5) Open an Internet browser and go to scoobynet.
You should then be able to log on as whoever you like.
Please report back.
