Question F.A.O mods/webmatser

Y are ebay links banned?

people post up links alot for comedy value and also the item number when ther selling stuff, so whats the point in them being banned?

can't even see one of the states reasons being a major issue, sounds more like excuse for going on one persons opinion rather thana consensus

intersting, suposed running cost of £12k a year prob nearer 20k by now but they y are they chargng vat when you don't pay it unless your turn over is over 60k???????

Not true you can register for vat on any turnover you are only obliged to register over that level

Sorry but you can register for VAT below that level if you wish

Taken from HMRC Website
2.3 Can I still be registered if I am not liable to be registered?
Yes. If you are not liable to be registered because the value of your taxable supplies, distance sales, or acquisitions is below the limits set out in the supplement to this notice, you can apply for voluntary registration. You can also apply to register prior to making taxable supplies, distance sales or acquisitions. In all cases you should think carefully whether registering will really benefit you. If we agree to register you from an earlier date, you:

must account for VAT on all your taxable business supplies from that date
cannot apply later to change the date and
can recover input tax incurred in respect of your taxable supplies from that date.
What that has to do with ebay links is beyond me though!

yeah yeah sorry didn't mean you can't, ment only had to pay over that level, if the site is only taking that low level of cash i y charge people vat?
