Default Go to last new post doesn't...

On all other forums I follow the 'go to last new post' button is working perfectly. Browser is Firefox 1.5.0.7

On Scoobynet it isn't working properly. If it is a new browser session then it always puts me at the first post. If I revisit a thread inside the session it works fine. The cookies with names like forum* are all set, and all have long expiries except for forumthread_lastview which is a session cookie.

Before I start taking things to bits is anyone else seeing anything like this ?

Stopped working for me too - very annoying on long threads.

Ditto here, on FF 1.05 and FF2.0 . But not always on the first post though, if you post in a thread it seems to treat that as the anchor point.

Same happens in the email notifications we get. When I click the link it puts me at the start of the thread rather than the posts I haven't seen.

It does seem to remember your place while actually in the forum, but if you close the browser and open it again it seems to be back at the first post again irrespective of what you did before.

Webby - any progress on this ? Please ?

Hi,

These seems to be a bug for some reason since we changed the URL's. We will look in to it, but it maybe a VB thing that needs resolving at source.

Regards,
Shaun.

It certainly looks like it is a vBSEO issue, several mentions of it in their forum, such as this one:

"Go to first new post" links not working - vBulletin SEO Forums
