Question Threads not refreshed?

Have noticed that on threads I have replied on have not gone to the top and have not been updated on the thread lists. But if I click on the thread my reply is there.

??

Sounds to me almost like you are seeing a cached copy of teh forum list. If your using IE hold down CTRL and press F5 to force a reload of the page.

I think it was the way the reply was posted. Maybe I tried to stop it midway although it still made it through. Wasnt anything to do with refresh.

Maybe just a glitch?

If you look down a bit, I reported this a few weeks ago. Isn't a cached copy as I tried CTRL+F5. I flagged it as I thought it may provide a clue to the speed issues also? Symptom is you post and the Forum view doesn't show yours as the last post and the post count is also incorrect. But it happens regardless of who has posted (obviously you notice your own!).

Hi Folks,

I have never noticed this myself, but ChristianR's question is pretty key.

Regards,
Shaun.

Yep but as above used CTRL+F5 so should not make a difference. Only seen recently about the times I started to notice the slowdowns. Been using Winproxy for 2+years, so unless NTL recently changed their proxies - oh and I don't stick with a proxy if I'm having problems (i.e slow access, intermittant access). Either way don't think the proxy is causing the problem.

This happened to me yesterday a well.
I replied to http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=441665

Reply was composed on a different machine from which I'm viewing at moment.

I do remember that when I sent the reply, SN seemed to get hung up, so I restarted IE.

This is very strange then, as I have never noticed it!?!?

Until it happens personally though, it is very hard for me to quantify. I will however update you if/when I find out.

Regards,
Shaun.
