First this is not a dig at SN got to just say that

Right what sort of speed to you all find the forum ?
Only this is a new PC base running XP Pro, 2600 Athlon and 1024mb and I still find this can be very slow in here at times... I was hoping that things would speed up by quite a lot it has on the other forums I visit and the net in general but not 100% of the time here.
Is it because of the sheer volume of traffic that visits SN these days ?

Just interested to see how the rest of you find it ?

it's your pc, you should have gota Pentium 4

seriously, it can be slow here as well with a 4mb internet connection. Sn is one of the biggest forums i use, so that would explain it.

 

it's got nothing to do with your PC and most likely nothing to do with your net connection either.

I've a P4 2.8, 2GB RAM and 2Mb broadband and it's still (generally) slower than a sloth on tranquilizers.

I seen to remember reading somewhere on here a while back about usage and It's certainly massive so I thought that may be the reason why at times.
