Whats going on ??
Since the board has changed i cannot do half of the functions previousley allowed. Also my welcome message states "You last visited: 01 January 1970 at 00:00 "??? What do i need to do to correct all of this?? n.b i have deleted cookies

What do you mean by not being able to do "half the functions"? Any chance of being specific?
Some of the things (like Search) aren't fully operational yet, while others work a bit different. Take some time to work out how VBulletin works and you'll soon find that you've got more functionality than you used to have, not less.

Like Brun says, chill out! Search is already being trialled, and it's a much more functional search than the "old" SN had. In the meantime, if you know what you're looking for, you can still sort threads by alphabetical and date order, which will help you find a lot of things.
