Oh no!! Orange coolant
I was fitting an induction kit today, and thought I would check the coolant level as I had it changed around a month ago, opened the header tank and the coolant was orange
I take it this is a sign of head gasket failure
there is a slight gurgling noise that Ive noticed coming from below the glove box if gently rev the car on a cold start which usually disappears.
However the only smoke I get is on a cold start (white), no overheating, heater blows hot, no strange noises.
Checked the oil and it smelled a little petrol ish
Car pulls very well.

Nope not a sign off head gasket. Maybe the garage filled it with orange coolant
The stuff i use at work is more orange than pink

dont know about the head gasket but the gurgling noise behind the glove box is common when there is an air lock in the coolant system. search on here for threads relating to burping the coolant hoses.

Just wondering when people say fill via the turbo, is this the hose that comes from the header tank to the turbo? Or is it really fill via the turbo?
Lol, thats just me being stupid, Ive read on here that when filling the car with coolant, it shoulb done via the turbo as it gets to the lowest point in the engine first, and this reduces the possibility of an airlock.
What I meant was, is it better to take the pipe off the turbo and refill at the turbo, or take the pipe off that goes from the tank to the turbo, suppose it doesnt make a difference thinking about it.
