Just wondering!

I worked on one at the weekend it was numbered 80 of 100.

I actually own one - and yes, they are rare ! Especially the Wagon version, which mine is.

Mind you, tryng to get info on them ain't easy, either !

Not many - from what I've heard, only a couple. And I've never heard of a Wagon version, so I'm guessing mine's the only in the country.

Not that that will help when it comes time to sell...

I looked at one a few months back when looking at Scoobs I think i have got a few pics of it.

But basically its just a slightly modified WRX IIRC

It had a pink and black metal plate (with STI on it and the build number)on the top of the osf inner wing, just forward of the strut top. The rear wing was the same as Pauls in the pic. It had intercooler water spray and an STI strut brace.

Maybe we should have a "STI 1 Owners" forum on here !

More than happy with mine, she's managed 289BHP/268LB torque, reaching and holding 16 PSI boost. I suspect a previous owner's been tweaking things ....

Just interested to know guys.. Has anyone else got
the pink and black vin plate on their car? I dont
seem to have it, although following an earlier post
my engine codes etc are all correct for an STi so I
am pretty sure that it is one.

Regards an owners club of its own, I think you are quite
right as only the Series1 and 2's can consider themselves
"real" STi's and not those "built on the line" fake ones
that are running about!

Mine has the pink badge - it's not the VIN plate, though, the pink badge is the other side of the engine bay. Should tell you when in the series your's was built.

Totally agree with the "proper" STI vibe here, btw ...
