Hello you guys. I'm not from Oz, but I've been 'down under' a few times

I hear you love your Scoobs as much as we do, and there's some good kit about. Keep us posted.

Richard.

I'll be relocating permanently, Thank God.

Victoria sounds nice although I think the 3 or 4 race tracks within an hour of my house in Sydney sounds better

mmmmm Wonder if they do track days at Mount Panorama

AND whats wrong with Phillip Island, Calder Park, Winton (hehe Winton )....
You can drive around Albert Park whenever you like except when the GP is on

All right apart from the first two you've got me there

If you're looking for work though just drop me a line. We have locations in Sydney as well....but Victoria's better

I used to live in Sydney between 1989 and 1996 (although I was at university in the UK for 4 of those years). In fact my folks and sister still do. I'll probably be returning there in a year or so.

I'm an Australian resident so I don't need to worry about visas or other stuff like that. Will probably go for dual UK/Aussie citizenship when I return to Oz.

Whenever I return for a holiday I have to drive my sister's Nissan Pulsar though (that's the Aussie version of the UK Nissan Sunny btw)

I worked at IBM in Sydney between 1994 and 1996 (when I returned to the UK).

We had one of our Xmas parties at the Rocks. Very nice.

I'm an Aussie born and bred.

My wife and I moved to the UK last August, and we'll be here for the next couple of years, earning pounds (that get taken home at the rate of A$2.85 to the pound), and driving on some of the greatest roads I have ever seen.

Even still, can't wait to get back to Oz ...

Andrew.

The quality of road surface in Sydney and its suburbs are pretty dire.

Which roads are you talking about? If you mean scenery-wise I understand where you're coming from as there are some brilliant drives in Oz, but I've always found the actual road surface to be pretty bad.

I once drove from Melbourne to Sydney along the Great Ocean Road/Drive and that was fantastic - even in a Ford Falcon rental car.

I have tried to respond directly to you but unable to do as you have no profile/email address. Care to respond to this post using the email address in my profile, I will point you in the right direction as to where you'll soon be able to acquire Wax Wizard waxes etc down under. Regards, Mark, Wax Wizard

Hi, I've also just joined and I too am an Expat, now living in Greece, but I will be visiting Australia frequently, as my family is still living there. I bought an Impreza GT TURBO, as they call them here, my00 (UK Euro spec) but are no different in spec' to our rex's in Aus, except for the addition of a bright switch (useless), electronic headlight tilter & headlight washer. Oh and steering is the wrong way. I also brought some go fast bits with me from Aus ,CROYDON AUTOSPORTS to be exact in Sydney, they include, 5zigen exhaust,APS cold air induction,K&N filter, blitz DSBC boost controller,1.05 bar peak in summer 1.2 bar in winter and a blitz dump valve. I'd like a unichip settup, but there are no 4wheel drive dyno's here. I might have to go to the UK for a holiday and visit Powerstation with the rex. Looking forward to being in Aus soon
