thats a side rear TypeR sticker isn't it?

why did you take it off?

When you fitted it did you not use soapy water to apply and stick it in place?

Think its more to do with the paint then the sticker to be honest!!

You had/or previous owner had the boot painted???

The car is fine underneath. I prepped and cleaned the area properly. At the end of the day I was trying to make other members aware not have my car slagged off!!!

I've put a sticker central further down the boot. Could it be localised to a certain area?

Had stuff off them before , no problems but not related to your problem.

Can you blame the seller of a sticker when it damages your paint when u take it off ? Did u heat it up or anything before attempting to remove it ?

looks more like the car has faded with age and someone has used t cut colour magic on it to dress it up prior to sale and all you've done is pull the polish off the car

Stickers are meant to stick, I'm sure OP would be complaining if it came off in a carwash...

Just bought mudflaps and decals off them. No problems whatsoever.

I'd agree with the poor paint theory. Unless you used IPA or something that softened the paint before applying.

In addition you mounted the sticker completely in the wrong place if you wanted to make it look how it should that sticker or similar to was mounted centrally on the boot on the jdm cars. Just saying.

At the end of the day I was trying to be helpful to others. Fair enough I never thought of a paint fault as I never had any probs before and it looked fine to me. But there is no need for insults about my car or anything and I wish I'd never started this thread now!
