I would strongly disagree with that, It's there for a reason and adds rigidity to the vehicle.. if it wasn't needed, it wouldn't be there.

I took mine of last month due to rot, i know many others have taken theirs of to so it really isn't needed, it was put there to get a better encap safety rating or something like that.

You could do but the braces aren't cheap, I really wouldn't bother mate I took mine of to pass the mot and it was fine. Doesn't make any difference at all to the handling IMHO

Yes mate I have, i have had to grind the inner arches as i was getting rubbing due to my ride height. Pretty much all good now bar having to raise a few mm still.

I'll take a few pics tomorrow and post up in the evening.

Dealer or scrap yard only...

its not 'needed'... *but*
without it you will struggle to fit the under tray... making the engine bay dirty and possible effects on air flow under the car and temps.

get on contact with a scooby scrappy n get a decent one and then clean it up with a brush n get a can of waxoyl or dinitrol for it.

Mine failed the mot as it was rusty, it can be removed though I bought a good second hand replacement for 40 quid.
