Afterburner Raptor
I have a Ninja 2 on my car at the moment and it just isn't loud enough for me. Is your mates 1 running a full 3" or is it just the raptor backbox he has with the 2.5" centre section?
Yes he's got the centre section aswell, I would say it's about the same on tick over as the ninja but as soon as there's throttle it's a complete different sound, I've haven't heard above 3k revs tho

Also considering getting one of these. The vortex I had was great but too loud todt thing on the morning. At least the raptor comes with a bung, right?
Thanks for the clip Dan, on hearing yours it's put me in 2 minds now. How loud was the raptor compared to the nur spec? Also going buy the other clips on YouTube, I'm thinking the normal afterburner vortex sounds better.
i actually went from a ninja to a raptor and the difference is huge.
raptor really is loud on full chat and once bedded in pops and bangs alot.
i removed after a few months, was to much for me in the end, droned a lot on normal driving but is great fun!

In comparison the nur spec R is a lot quieter, but that might be as I was running a non resonated mid section with the raptor! If they had it as a straight out I would have kept it, but I feel angle exits are more for Nissan and Honda
How long does it take to bed in then, roughly. I really can't seem to make my mind up lol
I thought the angled exit was suppose to give you a little more bhp compared to the straight pipes.
took a few months, probably around 2000 miles, then it started popping and banging on throttle lift off
all depends what you want the car for,if its just a fun car then the raptor is great, awesome noise.
if you want it to commute/drive round town etc then no way.for me it was to much in the end.

Hey guys, my first post on this forum!
I have a Raptor fitted to my hawk WRX SL, its mated to the afterburner 2.5" centre section and a decat pipe, and it is damn LOUD! Sounds really good though. It is a bit much on a long journey but the supplied bung sorts that out and makes it a lot more bearable. I normally drive without the bung in, but I keep it in the boot along with an allen key so that I can pull over and wack it in when I need a bit of a break!
