Please tell me again how a VF34 will make 402bhp because 660cc injectors were used...

Nah something similar.....A bug WRX with a VF34 mapped at RCM making 402bhp.

 

Theres been some crazy figures thrown around latetly.

 

Same guy that had 382 from a VF35?

 

Where's this come from?

I'm well impressed I'm guessing that's got to be close to a world record for a 34

 

And the 450bhp from a non billet 20g on vpower.......

 

Totally plausible. I had a vf35 running a baw hair over 370bhp on a top mount and standard pink injectors. Other mods at the time were gt spec 2 headers, aps inner wing induction kit and 20% methanol oh and a 3inch decat exhaust. Car was ecutec mapped by Andy Forrest.

Vf34 turbos are good for an extra 10bhp or so over a Vf35. My cars injectors ran out of puff before the turbo.

Nice graph m8. When I got my wagon mapped andy f got 360 from a vf35 on a gb 270. Being a 2.5 helped obviously but still a good result for a 35.

Maybe the guys "forged cams" helped Matt......It looked like it was still using the stock bug wrx intercooler.

Im just wondering if Jordan is on here after calling me a tit for questioning the claimed power for which he believed because his random logic was "Well a TD05 will make 330 with 440's so a VF34 would make over 400 with 660's"


No Rob, he first said it was running a VF35 then when I questioned it he changed it to a VF34.

 

I think some of these figures are due to the colder weather, that graph above it's 11.8 degrees, do the same on a day when it's 24 degrees and it would struggle to make 350bhp, which is pretty normal for vf 34/35, bare in mind there have been a few lowly TD04's that have made over 300bhp and they are supposed to only be able to get 280 max, but with a bit of a tweak they can make as much as 330, which in terms of the size of the turbo is a massive increase for the sake of a wheel change and bit of porting.

Not saying every one will make that but it does show that it's possible.

 

Without the meth you wouldn't of been anywhere near 370, you've probably gained 30bhp using it.
I wonder if the car in the ops post was using meth, but even if it was I very much doubt 400+ is achievable.

well my old Vf34 made 362 bhp on the dyno (1.6 bar+ boost ) but 400ish is really pushing it .

so what if some guys made 402 bhp ......it only a figure why get all twisted up over some one's post on the web

Actually seen a VF35 make 380bhp on a blob STi at Powerstation a few years ago at a rolling road day!!!

 

I once got on the rolling road and started jogging on the spot, I made 140bhp.

Then I put my WRX PPP on and it made 535bhp.

 

TD05 will do that with 380's.
